SUMMARY 

The Summer Facility Lifeguard Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the SAMLARC Lagoon for Premier Aquatics. Serving as the primary point of contact with the management of the SAMLARC Lagoon & Pools, this role entails a commitment to resolving any operational issues encountered with a focus on maintaining a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities include facilitating Team Member Orientation & Boat Training, orchestrating the meticulous set-up and tear-down of facilities, and managing the scheduling of Team Members. The position demands a high level of responsibility, organizational proficiency, and effective communication skills.

The Summer Facility Lifeguard Manager is expected to approach the role with a professional demeanor, ensuring that all operational aspects align seamlessly to provide a superior experience for patrons. The ability to navigate pre-season and post-season duties with precision and attention to detail is essential in maintaining the excellence associated with Premier Aquatics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Complete projects and tasks assigned by the Regional Aquatics Manager by set deadlines 
  • Maintain a prompt and reliable line of communication with the Regional Aquatics Manager 
  • Consult with the Regional Aquatics Manager and request approval for anything that may majorly impact SAMLARC, SAMLARC’s operations, or relations with SAMLARC’s contractors 
  • Assist in managing scheduling for SAMLARC facilities 
  • Partner with Training and Quality Assurance Manager to ensure consistency of SAMLARC In-Service program 
  • Serve as the point of contact/escalation for SAMLARC, Loop Managers, Head Guards, and Lifeguards, in the absence of the Regional Aquatics Manager 
  • Assist Regional Manager in managing day-to-day operations of SAMLARC facilities 
  • Assist the Regional Manager in managing and ensuring consistency of employee disciplinary process, including timely resolution and documentation 
  • Assist in set-up and tear down of SAMLARC facilities
  • Facilitate Employee Orientation and boat training at SAMLARC facilities 
  • Expectations as outlined may differ according to the seasonal needs of the business (peak season/off-season) 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum 

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Be available to work during the summer season from Tuesday through Sunday
  • Must possess required certifications through StarGuard Elite
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with no accidents or violations in the previous 3 years 

Preferred 

  • Possess or in the process of receiving a bachelor's degree or equivalent 
  • One to three years of relevant experience in the Lifeguard Services industry preferred 
  • Have a current StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor certification 

Physical 

  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water 
  • Exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
  • Ability to learn to operate a basic motorboat
