Are you passionate about working with young children, education, and love spending time in the water? Premier Swim Academy is looking for a fun, energetic, and experienced early childhood development professional to join our team! Our Parent and Me program helps children ages 4 months to 36 months hit important developmental milestones while learning to swim. If you’re ready to make a splash in young lives and help parents grow their young swimmers, this role is perfect for you!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead engaging Parent and Me classes: As an instructor, you'll teach swim lessons designed for infants and toddlers, combining early education and child development milestones with fun, interactive water activities. Follow our set curriculum while keeping classes exciting and educational.
- Ensure safety comes first: Supervise and safeguard all participants during group and private lessons, and on the pool deck. Make sure everyone is following safety rules so that learning and education are fun and safe!
- Communicate like a pro: Share important updates with your supervisor quickly and clearly. You'll also need to maintain open, positive communication with parents, offering feedback on their child’s progress and education journey.
- Be a customer service champion: Keep our families happy by providing excellent service, answering questions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere where both parents and children feel supported in their educational experience.
- Keep things tidy: Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the swim programs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Support your team: Build great relationships with fellow employees and instructors, working together to meet Premier’s education goals.
- Stay sharp: Attend quarterly in-service training programs to enhance your skills and continue your own education as an instructor.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in child development or related education fields.
- 4+ years of working with children aged 0-3 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support certification.
- Available on weekday mornings and/or weekends.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working with children with disabilities or adaptive learning needs.
- Previous aquatics or instructor experience.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Child Psychology.
- StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification.
